This privacy statement explains how Solo NZ Ltd. collects, uses and stores personal information about its customers and online/physical store visitors.

Information we collect from you


When you create an account or make a purchase with Solo NZ Ltd, whether online at www.solonz.co.nz or in direct correspondence with us, we collect personal information provided by you, including your:
- Name
- Contact information
- Physical Address
- Email Address
- Billing or purchase information

When you visit Solo NZ’s website www.solonz.co.nz, your computer’s internet protocol (IP) is automatically recognised which helps us to understand information about how and when you are browsing our website.

When you enter a Solo NZ Ltd. premise where a CCTV system is installed, video footage or still images of you may be captured for security reasons. You will know CCTV systems are operating by seeing the CCTV system hardware and/or a sign notifying you “CCTV IN OPERATION” or similar.

Consent


When you provide Solo NZ with personal information for the purpose of completing a transaction, arranging for a delivery or similar, we imply that you are providing consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason.

When you provide Solo NZ with your email address, we imply that you consent to our collecting and using it to communicate order, delivery and product offer-related information with you. Under the New Zealand Privacy Act, you reserve the right to opt-out of email communications from Solo NZ by unsubscribing. All Solo NZ marketing emails will feature a link to unsubscribe (usually at the bottom of the email).

Request and/or change personal information held about you


You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.

How we use personal information


We collect the personal information you provide us for the primary reason of fulfilling orders of purchases from Solo NZ that you have made. We want you to have a great experience when purchasing goods from SoloNZ, so your ability to create and login an account with SoloNZ helps by pre-populating important delivery information with each purchase.

We may also send you emails from time to time about our store, new products and other updates; for example, if we notice you haven’t finished checking out of the SoloNZ online store. You reserve the right to opt-out of email communications from SoloNZ by unsubscribing.

The information collected about your browser and operating system from our online store is used for marketing research purposes to help us understand information such as when and how you are shopping with Solo NZ online, so that we can tailor the website to optimise your experience.

Third Parties


In some instances, your information may be accessible to our trusted third-party service providers and only for the purpose and extent necessary to allow them to perform the third-party services they provide to us.

Examples of third parties we may employ include our inventory management software system provider, our website development agency and our online payment provider.

Online Payment


If you choose to purchase a product online from SoloNZ, you will be taken to our secure payment server with Payment Express. Payment Express protects personal information - at a minimum - to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (“PCI-DSS”). As per these standards, payment card numbers are encrypted and stored by Payment Express securely, and are not shared with the merchant (i.e. SoloNZ).

How we keep your personal information secure


Your SoloNZ account information is stored by our trusted data storage providers. Our stores may also retain some personal information securely onsite. We take reasonable steps to ensure access to online and physical premises where information is stored remains secure, by applying administrative, technical and physical safeguards.

CCTV footage and images captured on SoloNZ premises is routinely deleted and viewed only by staff or trusted third parties, such as the NZ Police, for security purposes.

Updates to this Privacy Statement


Solo NZ may update this privacy statement to reflect changes in the business. However, our commitment to privacy manners will not change.
