EXPERIENCED MARKETING GENERALIST

Solo NZ is on the lookout for a talented, motivated, and experienced mid-level Marketing Generalist to join our team fulltime. We need someone who can create a comprehensive marketing strategy for a national retail and wholesale brand (with multiple sub-brands), and then execute it across digital and traditional channels.

There’s a lot going on at Solo NZ, now and into the future, and no two days are the same. You’ll need to be able to switch hats quickly and autonomously. Mostly, you’ll be a strategic doer that thinks outside of the box!

We’ve got a small but mighty team here in Hamilton. We value common sense, proactivity, solid work ethic, good food, and quick wit.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy development and execution: There are a lot of moving parts within Solo NZ’s marketing, and they need a cohesive approach to drive brand awareness and sales.
  • Shopify management: Manage and update our Shopify store, with an eye to an ever-better user experience.
  • Design skills: Use Adobe InDesign and Canva to create eye-catching visuals and graphics for our marketing materials, website, and social media.
  • Content creation: Develop content across various platforms for each level of the customer journey.
  • EDMs: Create and execute the EDM schedule, including developing nurture sequences.
  • Digital marketing: Create and manage Google Ads and Meta campaigns to drive traffic and conversions. Use GA4 to make data-driven decisions.
  • Social media management: Develop the social calendar and campaigns to increase our brand's online presence and engagement.
  • Project management: You’ll be managing multiple projects of various sizes, coordinating suppliers, and ensuring each is delivered on time and on budget.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with all the above!
  • At least four years’ marketing experience
  • A proactive and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication
  • Creativity plus common sense
  • Ability to problem solve
